The EASL has announced the schedule for the 2023-24 season. Kim Sun-hyung and Jeremy Lin will face off on Nov. 8.

The East Asian Super League (EASL) has announced its schedule for the 2023-2024 season. The East Asian Super League 2023-24 season will run from October 11 this year to March 10, 2024, with a total of 28 matches.

Group stage matches will be played on Wednesday evenings from October through February. The eight participating teams will be divided into two groups, playing home and away against teams in the same group. The “Final Four,” scheduled for March 8-10, 2024, will determine the EASL 2023-24 champion.

Group A includes KBL champion Anyang Jeonggwanjang Red Boosters, B-League runner-up Chiba Jets, PBA Governors’ Cup winner TNT Tropang Giga, and P.League+ champion Pueblo Brace.

In Group B, KBL runner-up Seoul SK Knights, B-League champion Ryukyu Golden Kings, P.League+ runner-up New Taipei Kings, and the PBA’s Meralco Bolts will replace former Barangay Hinebra San Miguel.

Meanwhile, New Taipei Kings, who will compete in Group B, announced the signing of Jeremy Lin. Jeremy Lin will play alongside his younger brother Joseph Lin in the New Taipei Kings’ EASL campaign.

Fans in Korea will be able to see Kim Sun-hyung and Jeremy Lin go head-to-head when SK plays New Taipei on November 8.

In announcing the new season’s schedule, EASL CEO Matt Beyer said, “Asian basketball fans will be treated to some intense matchups between the best basketball clubs in East Asia. The EASL 2023-24 schedule will fulfill our goal of determining the strongest basketball club in East Asia.”

Hagop Khazarian, FIBA Asia Secretary General, said: “Fiba Asia is excited about the EASL 23-24 season. It will bring us one step closer to our long-standing goal of creating an international basketball club competition in the East Asian region. FIBA wishes the best of luck to all the clubs participating in this journey.”

B.LEAGUE President Shinji Shimada added: “The Ryukyu Golden Kings and Chiba Jets will represent the B League in the upcoming East Asia Super League. We look forward to their successful performances on the Asian stage. We also hope that all participating teams will showcase the appeal of Asian basketball to the rest of the world.”

P. LEAGUE+ said, “Taiwanese basketball fans have been waiting for years for the opportunity to watch and cheer on top teams from other leagues in East Asia on the international stage. The Braves and Kings are ready for the challenge.”
