Heungkuk Life to test its mettle against former Kim Yeon-kyung team in ‘last ditch effort to win title’
After falling short in the championship game to Roadworks last season, Heungkuk Life is determined to fulfill its dream of winning the title this season. They hope to improve their chances of winning the title through their upcoming training camp in Japan.
The Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders volleyball team announced that they will hold a training camp in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, from September 14 to 20.
The team, led by head coach Abondanza, will set up a training camp at the gymnasium of JT Marvels, a prestigious Japanese club with which the team has had a long-standing relationship. Heungkuk Life, which already has a relationship with Kim Yeon-kyung, who moved to the JT Marvels in 2010, will focus on maximizing its practical experience through joint training with the JT Marvels in the overseas training camp, which resumed five years after the coronavirus.
The plan is to play as many practice games as possible to perfect the offense of the trio centered on Kim Yeon-kyung. Starting with a scrimmage against Himeji on the 15th, the team will play three scrimmages against JT Marvels from the 16th to the 19th. This will allow them to perfect the chemistry between their attackers and setters and prepare for the upcoming 2023-24 season. In particular, the team is determined not to repeat last season, when fitness issues and a lack of setters cost them the title.
“In my first training camp since taking over, I will focus on maximizing the players’ organizational skills,” said Abondanza. “I will try to improve our deficiencies through practice matches with JT, who is a strong player, so that we can show a good performance in the upcoming season.”온라인바카라
The club also pledged its full support to Abondanza, saying: “We will use the training camp in Japan as an opportunity to improve our team’s deficiencies, and with the best support, we will present our fans with the title in the 2023-24 season.”
