Failure after failure’ Pirlo parted ways with Turquoise after less than a year at the club
Andrea Pirlo, 43, who earned a reputation as one of the world’s best midfielders during his playing days, has parted ways with Turkiye club Fatih Karagümlük after less than a year.메이저사이트
The club announced through its official channels on Thursday (July 24), “Coach Pirlo and his staff will not be with us next season. The club has given them permission to leave with immediate effect to give them the opportunity to plan their future. We would like to thank Pirlo for his contribution,” the club said in a statement confirming the farewell. The announcement came after a 1-4 defeat away to Trabzonspor.
Pirlo signed a one-year contract with Karalimlik in June last year. The 2022-2023 season of the Turkkiye Super Lig is still to come, but the club has decided to end the contract by mutual consent. After 33 rounds, Karalimliğ is in 9th place out of 19 teams.
In 36 games since his arrival, Pirlo has won 13, drawn 12 and lost 11, including the cup, for a winning percentage of 36.1%. He has failed to make a strong impression at Turkuye. Pirlo made a surprise appointment as head coach of Juventus’ professional team in August 2020, where he played as a player, but he was sacked less than a year later. In the 2020-2021 season, Juventus finished fourth.
Pirlo, who won a total of 15 titles with AC Milan and Juventus during his playing career, tasted bitter failure twice in a row after his coaching transition.
Korean soccer fans have raised the possibility of Pirlo becoming the next manager of K League 1 club Jeonbuk Hyundai, who are currently playing the season without a permanent head coach and with Kim Doo-hyun as acting manager.
“We will explore various options,” said transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
