‘Better than 117.9 billion Japanese hitter’ Lee Jung-hoo, 3rd place prospect, goes ML on a flower palanquin

Kiwoom Heroes’ flagship hitter Lee Jung-hoo (25) has been evaluated as superior to the 90 million dollar (117.9 billion won) Japanese hitter.

On the 15th, the American sports statistics media ‘Fan Graph’ selected 10 promising Asian baseball players. It included 7 in the NPB league and 3 in the KBO league. What stands out is that Lee Jung-hoo tied for third place in future value (FV).

Munetaka Murakami (22. Yakult), who hit 56 home runs, took first place with 60 points, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto (24. Orix), who is regarded as the best pitcher in Japan, scored 55 points and ranked second.

Lee Jung-hoo stood shoulder to shoulder with right-hander Senga Godai (29), who signed a contract with the New York Mets for $75 million, and Sasaki Rocky (21, Chiba Lotte), who achieved a perfect game, with 50 points.

In particular, it was one step higher than Masataka Yoshida (29), who signed a large contract with the Boston Red Sox for 5 years and 90 million dollars. Yoshida scored 47 points. 스포츠토토

After Lee Jung-hoo finishes the 2023 season, his major league challenge is certain. The fact that he received a higher rating than Yoshida may be able to sign a large-scale contract with Lee Jung-hoo.

Fangraph explained that a player with an FV of 40 or higher is considered a player with potential, and an FV of 50 or higher is similar to the top 100 major league prospects. They consider Lee Jung-hoo to be on the same level as a major league prospect.

Following Yoshida, Kiwoom ace Ahn Woo-jin (23) and KT center hitter Kang Baek-ho (23) ranked 7th and 8th respectively. Seibu’s 160km bullpen pitcher Daira Gaima took 9th place, and Softbank Cuban closer Ivan Moinello ranked 10th.
